Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the perspectives for sustainable development of agriculture and rural areas in the Commune of Kościerzyna. There was used a diagnostic survey method (a survey), the questionnaire was filled by 167 farmers. Due to the complexity and comprehensiveness of the sustainable development concept, it is difficult to answer the question about the chances of sustainable development of local government units, including communes. Nevertheless, the presented research results showed that there are good perspectives for the future sustainable development of agriculture and rural areas in the studied commune.
