Abstract

The article presents the changes in the economic, social and organizational which took place in a typical villages with four randomly selected communes of the Mazovian province since the accession to the European Union by the end of 2015. In the last decade the Polish agricultural sector has made great progressive increase in the number and value of production and the decline in the number of farms. In the surveyed villages, together with the implementation of EU programs increased activity of farmers investing in their own farm. The main direction in the period surveyed in villages were investments in tractors and agricultural machinery and equipment. In the future, if the vision and mechanisms do not change it is possible to be expected to further increase the acreage of farms, which will lead to greater migration of people from rural areas in search of livelihood.
