Abstract

The idea of sustainable development translates into all branches of the economy, including logistics.
Activities in the supply chain such as: raw materials acquisition, production, distribution,
transportation and storage have an impact on the environment and society. Supply Chain
Management is a concept of managing relationships with suppliers, clients, and consumers to
provide the highest customer value at the lowest cost of the entire chain. This value can be differently
understood by different clients, depending on their awareness, such value can also be value
associated with the goals of sustainable development.
There are concepts that can be used for strategic management in companies to improve their
performance in achieving sustainable development goals, the most appropriate ones are Corporate
Social Responsibility and Sustainable Supply Chain Management.
