Abstract

One of the common requirements for all currently amended international standards of
management systems consists in the requirement to understand the context of an organization. The
goal of the article is to explain the terms related to defining and analyzing the context in
organizations which include an implemented quality, environment, or OHS management system.
The article explains the terms context and interested parties. An attempt has been made to define the
typical external and internal factors, as well as the interested parties and their expectations which
may be used when analyzing the context of an organization in terms of these systems. Propositions
of methods have been indicated, which may be taken advantage of to analyze the context of an
organization and manners of documenting the results of analyses.
