THE MEANING OF RENEWABLE SOURCE ENERGY TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF RURAL AREAS

The aim of the study was to show the possibilities that lie in rural areas, in connection with the development of renewable energy. Research shows that Poland does not fulfill the conditions resulting from the Directive Council of the European Union, as well as did not introduce regulations conducive to the development of RES. Farmers were not satisfactorily informed about the new phenomenon of innovative occurring in agriculture, nor were they encouraged to take simple installations for energy saving. In light of the research it can be said that the farmers were inclined proecologically, moreover, were willing to participate in simple activities to protect the environment, but do not reach for the funds, promote investment in renewable energy.
