THE EVOLUTION OF THE EUROPEAN UNION’S REGIONAL POLICY

The politics of European regional development has grown out of the need to prevent an increasing disproportion in the degree of socio-economic development of particular EU member countries and the existence of even bigger disproportions in the development of their regions. One of the main instruments of regional politics used in order to support the processes of restructurization and modernization of economies of EU member countries is the use of EU investment funds. The purpose of this article is appearance of the evolution of the European Union’s Regional Policy.
