Abstract

This article aims to show the impact on the innovativeness of Polish economy is the implementation of the Regional Innovation Strategy. This paper attempts to characterize the current state of innovation in the economy on the basis of the most important reports, which contributed to an indication of the most important factors determining the introduction of innovation by Polish companies from the SME sector. The summary discloses risks innovativeness of Polish economy arising from insufficiently effective regional policy and the positive effects of the introduction and implementation of the Regional Innovation Strategy.
