Abstract

The objective of the survey was to recognize technical efficiency of dairy farms. The survey was carried out in Podlasie province in 2010 among 27 farms. The survey proved that technical efficiency was quite high. In spite of high efficiency surveyed farms invested in small scale. Surveyed farms had quite high costs of purchase of concentrates, nitrogen fertilizers and diesel oil. The main source of income was milk sale.
