MATERIAL LIABILITY AND SUPERVISION OVER THE WORK OF DRIVERS

Abstract

Employment of drivers in road transport is a particular (specific) type of employment, which has many significant and sometimes drastic differences from the typical employment provided for the Polish Labour Code. Working conditions and employee responsibility of drivers subject to specific conditionality, and thus distinct regulations especially in the material liability and supervision over the work done by drivers. Rapid progress of digitization and computerization made the supervision of the driver’s work took on a new meaning. Currently used means of communication and monitoring allow detailed control over the work done by the driver. The scope of driver material liability is relatively wider and often assigned to a driver assets is set to a few hundred thousand zlotys.
