The recent shift towards a polycentric perception of business making makes it possible to involve external stakeholders in financing any pioneering undertaking. This is a starting point for looking at the idea of crowdfunding as an innovative financing model which can be also adopted in the creative sector. Managers as well as artists, now both perceived as entrepreneurs in the creative sector, take advantage of crowdfunding as it augments the range of possibilities to raise capital. The paper
explores the potential of crowdfunding as a way to support projects in the creative sector based on the example of Mega Total Polish crowdfunding platform.
