Abstract

Road transport infrastructure is one of the most important technical systems that have direct and indirect impact on the economic development of the country, region or municipality. Road S16 corridor is of particular importance in socio-economic development of the Warmia-Mazury. It is an essential element for the development of the potential of districts along which runs. Modernization the national road S16 will contribute to faster compensate for disparities between our region and other well-developed regions of our country Most important effects modernization the national road are: GDP growth of Warmia and Mazury, improve safety, savings in fuel and time, will boost tourist and economic attractiveness of the region. It is one of the key investment priorities for the next programming periods of transport infrastructure development in the Warmia-Mazury.
