Abstract

One of the factors that determine the quality management system effectiveness is the commitment of the top management to the development, implementation and continually improving of the system. In the work there have been presented the results of the researches dealing with fulfillment the requirements concerning management responsibility in quality management systems in accordance with PN-EN ISO 9001:2009 standard by the enterprises in food industry. In this work there have been mentioned some nonconformities in relation to the requirements of PN-EN ISO 9001:2009 standard concerning management responsibility and observations relating to this requirements, formulated during the external audits of the quality management systems realised by the auditors from the certification bodies. The obtained results confirm that management should first and foremost improve compliance with the requirements concerning responsibility, authority and communication and management review.
