ACTIVITIES IN SECOND PRIORITY RANGE OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM 2014-2020

Abstract

The study included four actions, which according to the European regulations were classified as second priority of the RDP 2014-2020. The purpose of this measure is to increase the profitability of farms and the competitiveness of agriculture, in particular by promoting innovative technologies in farms. Most support instruments in the whole program were granted to the modernization of farms (2.4 billion euros), which are a kind of material support. Lower support was given to a new action - restructuring of small farms (883 million euros), and bonuses for young farmers (717 million euros). Generally actions in priority 2 are responsible for 30.1% (4.0 billion) of indicative budget program for rural development, estimated on the level of 13.5 billion euros.
