The growing interest in issues of nation branding contributed to the creation by the state of sustainable and coherent strategies to improve the image and reputation of the state. The intensification of this process occurred primarily in those countries that had to build from scratch their national identity (post-communist countries , countries of the former Yugoslavia ).
This article assesses the process of building the image of the Russian Federation.The assessments were based on the analysis of the content of the foreign press of western countries.
