ANALYSIS OF THE LEVEL OF SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF PARTNERSHIP GROUPS ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE OWL-IŁAW FUNCTIONAL AREA

Abstract

The aim of the article is to present changes in the level of socio-economic development of the partner communes and the Ostróda-Iława Functional Area as a whole in 2012-2015. The analyzes were made on the basis of indicators representing priority areas (competitive and modern economy, rich and diverse infrastructure, high quality of life) contained in the Strategy of Development of the Ostróda-Iława Functional Area and overall according to the main criterion - socio-economic development. The indicators needed for the analysis were taken from the GUS Local Data Bank. In the work to develop a ranking of partner communes, the Hellwig method was used, while the analysis of the functional area as a whole was based on the arithmetic mean of the individual commune indicators.
