Abstract

E-learning usage – understood as the adaptation of a new (specific, i.e. learning-related) technology – is usually analyses by TAM model (or its versions) in environments where it is voluntary. A different set of rules and problems in the full adaptation of the technology should be expected in conditions where the use of these tools is mandatory. Specifically, in the case of organizations in which e-learning courses are obligatory and passing he final test of the course is monitored by supervisors, the typical approach to research into adapting technologies by humans –leading from beliefs, through attitudes, to intention to apply, up to apply the technology to fullest extend and in a permanent manner – is insufficient. The article analyses the influence of managerial activities on satisfaction of mandatory users on individual and team level, based on 104 responses for e-questionnaire from 10 teams in a financial company in Poland, where specific type of e-learning courses (short technical knowledge courses employees participate in every day) are obligatory. The results shows importance of managerial support for e-learning as a factor influencing declaration of it voluntary adaptation on individual and team level.
