ENTREPRENEURIAL ATTITUDES OF STUDENTS FROM POLAND AND LITHUANIA AND THEIR DETERMINANTS - SELECTED RESULTS OF SURVEY FINDINGS

Abstract

The aim of the article is to present the state of entrepreneurship of students from Poland and Lithuania and to determine the conditions for their decision to create their own company. The article have theoretical and empirical nature. For the purpose of studying the problem, methods of literature analysis, a diagnostic survey with a survey technique and a comparative analysis were used. In the article after discussing the theoretical aspects of entrepreneurship, the results of surveys of entrepreneurial attitudes among two groups of students - Polish and Lithuanian - were presented. They allowed to analyze the entrepreneurial attitudes and behavior of students and their tendency to create their own business. In addition, they revealed the determinants of choosing the form of professional activity and the entrepreneurial attitude of Polish and Lithuanian students. The obtained results indicate that students from both countries showed entrepreneurial attitudes and were willing to create their own company. However, they noticed the existence of quite significant barriers and difficulties in creating their own business.
