Belbin’s model can help to identify group roles and behaviours accompanying in adoption of a specific group role. The research was carried out on a group of students who received to complete a BTRSPI questionnaire. Results were obtained for the group of students and the speciality (three groups). The analysis covers the hierarchies of the most accepted group roles and the chosen constructive role - placed by the students in the first place in terms of choice during teamwork. The results demonstrated the suitability of the Belbin’s model to determine the assumed group role. Analysis of the results shows it was possible to point out the deficit of behaviours that determine the success of the group tasks. In addition, it was shown that in the speciality groups, some roles were not indicated as a constructive role.
