Abstract

As in the case of other social groups, also in the elderly, the question of the possibility of self-sufficiency through income is of particular interest. The aim of this article is to identify the financial situation of Polish seniors, to identify their sources of subsistence and to try to assess the ability of elderly people to manage their incomes. The official data of the Central Statistical Office, the Ministry of the Family, Labor and Social Policy and the survey questionnaire were used among 93 respondents aged 65 to 77 years.
