STATE AND PROSPECTS OF INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT OF UKRAINE ACCORDING TO THE APPROACH OF THE GLOBAL INNOVATION INDEX

The article presents the research results of the state and conditions of innovation in Ukraine based on the level and dynamics of the components of the Global Innovation Index. The methodology for determining the Global Innovation Index and the dynamics of Ukraine's position in the ranking is considered. The strengths and weaknesses of innovation activity and the innovation environment in Ukraine are assessed. The correlation between conditions and results of innovation activity in the country is analyzed. The nature of the influence of the current political and economic situation in Ukraine on the state of the innovation environment and innovation results is defined. The prospects for further innovative development of the country are determined.
